The Society is an eccumenical Christian Association and its main objects are:

01   To serve among the weak and poor men, women and children irrespective of caste, creed or community, in the villages and towns.
02   To engage in non-formal education, adult literacy, vocational training cultural action and such other activities of community organisation.
03   To foster area studies and field research on the dimensions and movements for social change, and to disseminate useful information to the members and the public through the publication and distribution of useful literature, and through mass media organs.
04   To sponsor and hold consultations and conferences and other meetings on matters of public and sectional interest, and also camps, institutes, schools and classes/courses for development of education.
05   To promote community building, through socially useful and economically productive projects for leadership formation and self-reliance of all backward sections of people in general and of Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe communities in particular.
06   To organise cottage industries, agricultural extension and animal husbandry schemes and other community welfare programmes.
The objects incidental and ancillary to the attainment, of the main objects of the Society and ways and means to carry them out are.

01   To raise funds for the activities of the society.
02   To establish contacts/relationships with other national and international organisations having similar objectives.
03   To employ and pay staff persons and other personnel on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Governing Body of the Society from time to time.
04   To secure and utilise movable and immovable properties necessary or convenient for the purposes of the Society.
05   To undertake all such other activities, as may seem lawful, convenient or conductive to the attainment of the objects of the Society, not involving the carrying on of any activity of profit.
  Certified that the Society is formed with on profit motive and that no commercial activity is involved in its working.
  Certified that the Society would not engage in agitational activities and ventilate grievances.
  Certified that the Office- bearers are not paid from the funds of the society.
